Master the martial arts of Jianghu: from internal energy cultivation to deadly external techniques.
The Bustling World has a real-time action combat system inspired by classic Wuxia martial arts films. Combat is fast, fluid, and rewards skill and practice. The system has three core pillars:

| Light Attack | Left Click | Fast, low damage, builds combo meter |
| Heavy Attack | Right Click | Slow, high damage, consumes combo meter |
| Block | Shift (hold) | Reduces damage, costs stamina |
| Dodge | Space | Quick dash, invincibility frames |
| Parry | F (timed) | Perfect block, stuns enemy, costs Qi |
| Special Skill | Q / E / R | Equipped martial skills (3 active slots) |
| Qi Burst | Z | Consumes Qi for massive AoE knockback |
| Weapon Swap | Tab | Switch between two equipped weapon sets |

External stances determine your actual combat moves: the attacks, combos, and special techniques you use in battle. You can equip up to 3 stances at a time, switching between them mid-combat for varied attack patterns.
| Stance Type | Weapon | Playstyle | Example Stance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sword | Straight sword, broadsword, jian | Balanced, combo-oriented | Tempest Sword Art (æ´éŖåæŗ), Seven Star Sword (䏿忺) |

Each stance has unique combo chains: sequences of light and heavy attacks that trigger special finishing moves. Combos are the key to dealing serious damage.
Qi (å æ°) is your internal energy: the lifeblood of martial arts in The Bustling World. Mastering Qi management is the difference between a novice and a master.
To increase your maximum Qi capacity, you must cultivate. Find a quiet spot, enter meditation mode, and cycle your Qi through your meridians. Each successful cultivation session permanently increases your max Qi by 1-5 points (depending on your internal skill level). Higher-quality meditation spots (temples, bamboo groves, mountain peaks) grant bonuses to cultivation gains.
| Meditation Location | Qi Gain Bonus | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Anywhere (wilderness) | 1x base | Risky â can be interrupted |
| Town Inn room | 1.2x | Safe, costs money |
| Mountain peak | 1.5x | Scenic, long trek |
| Bamboo grove | 1.5x | Peaceful, common in SW region |
| Temple/Shrine | 2.0x | Best cultivation spot. Requires faction access or donation |
