Travel Between Regions

Traveling between regions is an adventure in itself. Here are the methods:

🚶 On Foot

The slowest but safest method. You'll encounter random events, NPC travelers, wildlife, and bandits along the way. Roads between regions are generally safe within 2-3 km of towns, but become more dangerous further out.

🐎 Mounted Travel

Horses (and other mounts) significantly reduce travel time. A good horse travels 2-3x faster than on foot. Horses require food, water, and rest. Better breeds have more stamina and speed. Iron Blood Bandits have the best horses.

🚐 Caravan Travel

Pay the Wayfarer's Union for escorted caravan travel. Costs 50-200 copper depending on distance. Safe and reliable: guards protect against bandits. You can also transport goods this way for trade.

🚢 Boat Travel

Available between coastal regions and along major rivers. The Eastern Coast (Jade Harbor) connects to the Central Lake District via the Grand Canal. Boat travel is fast but expensive.

🕶 Shadow Network

Join the Shadow Moon Assassins to access their fast travel network of hidden safe houses. Instant travel between connected nodes, but only available to faction members with sufficient rank.

Travel Tip: Always carry a tent or bedroll when traveling between regions. Getting caught at night in a dangerous area without shelter is a death sentence.
